What is a blog? A blog is a combination of a personal webpage and a journal – in some cases. In other cases, it is a way to get customer feedback. Others use blogs as a personal journal. There really is no answer these days to what is a blog, simply because a blog can be many different things, with many different uses – depending on the blogger who is blogging.
First and foremost, you need to choose keywords for your discover new things. When it comes to blog writing, you need to spread the keyword uniformly all through your article.
Keeping blogs up to date is always a big deal, especially for a blogger trying to update multiple blogs. If blogs aren’t updated readers may find other blogs to read. The internet is fast paced and people will no longer wait a long time to get their update if they can get it somewhere else. Managing time and setting a schedule for updates is the best way to keep multiple blogs updated.
The only downside to this approach is the search results don’t tell you the PR of the blog. You have to go into each blog if you’re seeking high PR URLs on which to comment.
Savvy business people have realized that blogs can be an excellent way to promote themselves, their business, or make easy money. The most popular way that this is done is through Google Adsense. Using this, bloggers are able to sell advertising off of their blog and collect cash just for keeping a blog. Those with very successful blogs are raking in the cash simply off of their AdSense ads. It is very easy and free to start doing this, and many have cashed in, and in big ways. Some blog hosts have even allowed their users to ad AdSense using the same account, making it even easier to make money with blogs.
So I remain with my hand raised on “hating blogs”. And I fully admit I continue to blog. The lesson that I have learned is that no web technology should be ignored when it becomes mainstay. If you are serious about adding credibility to your business then setting up a blog should also be part of the plan.
A blog can serve as your “Home Base” where people go to find out about you, find helpful information, laugh, reflect, share, enjoy, discover ways to solve their problems….. whatever it is you want them to do. You set the goals and parameters. Stay on top of your newly found tool and be sure to consistently update your blog, stay in touch with your followers and the sky could be the limit.
