For as long as I can remember, Mother’s Day has always been one of my favorite holidays. This love affair began when I was living at home with my mom. I would look forward to the day when I could do something special for her, the lady who always did so much for me every single day.
For me, the first reason to quit was the realization that every pack of cigarettes I bought cost as much as what I earned on many of my articles both for AC and for other venues. That meant I would have to sit down and write three articles a day–no matter how I felt and regardless of whether I felt inspired–just to break even thanks to my stupid habit. I won’t claim that all my writing is equally meaningful to me (let’s face it, no one gets moved to tears writing about sump pumps and lighting fixtures), but it began to weigh on me that so many of the words I wrote were going up in smoke.
Cut out the area for the top and bottom hinges. One thing is very important while preparing the new door is that the measurement should be exact or the door will not hang as it should be. Mark the hinge locations by a square and a pencil. Use the hinge to trace onto the door, to clean up the area and make the indentation for the hinge in the wood.
Put craft paint on one or both of the child’s hands, and help them aim for the plate, pressing their hands all along the outer edge, with the fingers point towards the outer rim of the plate. You many need to apply more paint every few prints, so that they don’t start making handprints that are too faint. You can make the all the same color, or use several different colors of custom paint by numbers, layering them so that all the colors show.
Many cross-stitchers prefer to set the mesh into a wooden or plastic frame in order to hold it taut and make it easier to hold as well as see the stitches. Again many craft stores as well as major retail outlets carry special frames that help hold your mesh paint by number kits tightly and give you a clear picture of your project.
In applying the acid stain on the concrete floor, you can use a roller, a sprayer, or whatever else is more compatible. There are many ways to apply the acid stain. Just remember to do this by section. Make sure the brush strokes don’t contradict with each other and leave unfavorable marks as a result. Remember, do this from one section of maybe 10 x 10 ft square to another section of the same size, until you have finally completed applying the stain on the whole floor.
And when I decorate for Christmas, I put up the counted cross stitch stockings on the mantle for my grand children. I put the homemade tree decorations on the tree. I replace some of the wall pictures with holiday themed ones that I painted and hang up the wreaths I crafted.
